Services and philosophy
NOTE: TELEHEALTH (video sessions) ONLY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
I offer therapy from an integrative perspective, using theories and techniques from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with a foundation in attachment theory and neurobiology. My trauma-focused training includes Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Expressive Arts modalities, and I have experience in supporting addiction recovery through both AA/12-Step and SMART Recovery models.
Psychotherapy as I understand it is a collaborative process: You and I together will identify your goals and work to disentangle you from past experiences and present thoughts, freeing you to move forward with life.
My services are LGBTQA-friendly, poly-friendly, and kink-aware, and I am familiar with a variety of religious and spiritual traditions and equally comfortable with non-religious/humanistic views.
As of August 1, 2020, all services are provided remotely, via Telehealth. I do not plan to see clients in person at any time in the near future. Also, as of February 1 I have no regular time slots available for weekly or biweekly treatment. I may have occasional irregular availability (e.g. for EMDR adjunct treatment). Please call (617) 520-4557 and leave a message, or email to [email protected] to inquire about availability, or email to request to be put on a waiting list.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield (HMO or PPO - not Medicare, I'm sorry) is the only insurance accepted; however, sliding-scale fees may be available to self-paying clients with limited income.
I look forward to meeting you! Please use the form below to contact me and schedule an appointment.
